Where to start?

I started by creating this figure, a simple chart to display the European regulations regarding emissions from diesel lorries and buses. The reduction in allowed emissions is striking, but crucially doesn't cover CO2 or fuel consumption.

C02 emissions and fuel economy are the same thing really - the more fuel you burn, the more CO2 you produce and you can't really get away from it. Fuel economy is most often calculated from C02 measurements in industry. Still, why one of the two isn't covered by the legislation is beyond me

House of Commons and Prime Minister. It's a dual-purpose set of legislation which is aiming to curtail political embezzlement while simultaneously reducing pollution.

Actually it's hydrocarbons (unburned fuel) and particulate matter (soot). Also Nox should be NOx before anyone else nit-picks! Must have got auto-corrected in the spreadsheet.

This is a real cliffhanger. I look forward to further instalments. What are HC and PM please?
